Welcome to The Out-of-Door Academy website.  I hope you take the opportunity to learn as much as you can from the information provided within this site.  Although words and pictures can describe what is happening at Out-of-Door, the school is about people, relationships and community; these can only be seen and felt.  I encourage all of you to find a time to visit our campus, see the students and teachers in action, and learn all that you can about the special experience that is Out-of-Door.

The Out-of-Door Academy is a friendly and welcoming community in which academic excellence is paramount, while students are also enabled to become literate, caring, thinking and morally responsible members of society.  At Out-of-Door, students are expected to participate in the life of the school, and the size of the school allows students to involve themselves in a plethora of extracurricular activities.  It is not unusual to find a student who plays a varsity sport, participates in a theatrical production, writes for the school newspaper and represents the class on the student council.  Students are encouraged to explore opportunities that they might otherwise not try and faculty members provide the support that helps to foster success.

Please call the Admissions Office to schedule a tour of one or both of our campuses.  Come meet the people that make this a special place.  Come meet the students and learn about the strong relationships they build with teachers who challenge, guide and nurture them every day, even beyond graduation.
