A CAMPAIGN FOR THE FUTURE...

With The Campaign for The Out-of-Door Academy, Out-of-Door will enhance the educational opportunities and experience for all of its students. The campaign will also accelerate the school's growth as one of the premier college preparatory schools in the nation. The passion, generosity and commitment of generations of Out-of-Door Academy teachers, students and families has served the school well and brought it to this significant point in its history. It will take the collective effort and commitment of the entire Out-of-Door family to make the school's ambitious plans for the 21st century a reality. We look forward to inviting you to participate in this historic process.
In August 2009, The Out-of-Door Academy opened the doors to its new Visual & Performing Arts Center on the Uihlein Campus at Lakewood Ranch. The centerpiece of the school's $15 million Capital Campaign, Preserving Out Past, Expanding Our Future, the Arts Center offers many new learning environments, including a black box theatre, the first of its kind in East County. Other building highlights include sustainable "green" architecture, a landmark illuminated tower, choral and instrumental rooms, state-of-the-art acoustics, three music practice rooms, art and ceramics studios, and a sound/lighting booth.
Other Uihlein Campus updates in the 2009-2010 school year include the addition of a baseball field, tennis courts, and football/track stadium, as shown below in the renderings.
