Ms. Sassetti's eighth grade science class is studying motion, speed, and G Force. To put the learning principles into action, students worked in groups to design an amusement park ride.
This quarter the 4th grade students learned all about the Earth in STEM. At the end of the unit, they completed a project with a driving question of how can we creatively teach about earth science.
The Out-of-Door Academy continues to outpace global benchmarks with our high percentage of students taking and passing AP courses.
The Out-of-Door Academy's Science Department is always looking for creative ways to challenge our future engineers. Stephanie Sassetti challenged her Middle School Science class to safely ship a single Pringles potato chip through the postal system from Florida to a partner school in Illinois to help familiarize students with the engineering design process used by NASA.
In Mr. Dane Gass's Communications Arts course, 7th Grade Students are preparing to be more confident in front of an audience. This course is centered around story telling and includes public speaking, dramatic presentations, and film.
