Out-of-Door provides highly-trained wellness professionals in all three divisions. They are advocates for the students and families, plan educational programs and events, and are available to answer questions and lend guidance.
Chelsea Gonzalez '07 is pursuing acting as a career, and is also using her knowledge and experience to teach acting to adults with cognitive disabilities.
This week in Mrs. Hayward's class, the sixth graders created Latin family trees, or "Meae Familiae Arbor". Through this project and others throughout the year, the students are learning complex grammar unique to inflected languages, through the ease and enjoyment of student centered projects.
Nirvan Mullick, founder of Imagination Foundation, and the film maker who documented "Caine's Arcade" and created the Cardboard Challenge, visited students in the third through fifth grades to share how Caine's life has taken shape since the film.
The Out-of-Door community has been very busy in the last two months, with a number of events and time honored traditions.
