The pure love and passion that Emma Henson and Morgan Woods, two juniors at The Out-of-Door Academy, exhibit for their craft and art is awe-inspiring. Last week, the third grade students presented two incredible performances of the 5-a-Day play, which emphasizes the importance of incorporating five or more fruits and vegetables in your daily diet.
The eighth grade students recently participated in an activity called RAY, which is an acronym for Reading And Yak. The book chosen for this year was The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton.
Out-of-Door students are learning a skill that nine out of ten schools do not teach. Technology teachers for all three divisions are teaching coding, and have brought attention to the subject. Click above for more information.
Marcus Buffett is not only a National Merit Scholar for 2014, but he scored a perfect 800 on the SAT I critical reading section on two separate occasions. Marcus also scored a perfect 800 on the SAT II (Subject Test) Math II examination. Click above to read more.
