Camp Banyan is one of our most popular day camps and is held on our Historic Siesta Key Campus. Each fun-filled, themed week offers a brand new experience full of exciting activities  that include beach days, off-campus field trips, and special themed activities. Our time on campus is spent experiencing a wide variety of activities which may include water days, super cool arts and crafts, cooking, hands-on science, outside sports and games, team building, drama, leadership building activities, and more! All campers must be toilet-trained and be able to use the toilet facilities independently. All activities and field trips are subject to change. A weekly email with specific details will be sent prior to the start of each week. Enjoy Kona Ice each week!

Lunch is included. Lunch options will include either the hot meal choice or a pasta option each day. Pre-made sandwiches and salads will be available as an alternative. If your child has food allergies, please include these on your registration form and also contact the Campus Dining Manager to discuss meal options. Please address any questions about the lunch program to Campus Dining Manager Lindsey Kraus-Applewhite at lindsey.kraus@compass-usa.com or (941) 554-5995.
We suggest registering early to reserve your spot - your kids are sure to love it and space is limited!

Week 1: June 10-14 - The Great Outdoors
Get to know Florida wildlife during this adventurous week in the great outdoors. Campers will use their senses to explore the natural world around them. We will use natural materials to make collages, create suncatchers, compete in an animal relay race, and snack on everyone’s favorite outdoor treats including trail mix and s’mores. Campers will visit Robinson Preserve’s Nest and Canopy Zone to hike, crawl, and climb their way into the trees, swim and play on Siesta Key beach, and go for a hike in a local park. Adventure, exploration, and unforgettable memories await.

Week 2: June 17-21 - Going Green
There’ll be a lot of buzz going on this week as campers are immersed in the wonders of the natural world as Camp Banyan Goes Green! During this engaging and exciting week, campers will explore the rainforest at Selby Gardens, discover the vital importance of pollinators, and learn about recycling - and how we can all make a difference. Your camper will learn to cultivate a deep appreciation for ecology, environmental science, and the interconnectedness of all living things.

Week 3: June 24-28 - Color Your World
Ignite your camper's creativity and embark on a vibrant artistic journey with our Color Your World theme. During this exciting and imaginative week, campers will be immersed as young artists in a world of color, self-expression, and artistic exploration. Activities are designed to ignite a life-long interest in art-making with projects designed to engage everyone with new skills, making each project a celebration. Beyond creating art, students will explore art appreciation in our very own Ringling Museum. This experience will enhance their understanding and appreciation of the rich world of visual arts.

Week 4: July 8-12 - Retro Vibes
Get ready for some "Retro Vibes" as we take a nostalgic journey back to the fabulous 50s and swinging 60s! Experience the magic of retro America with a jam-packed schedule of exciting activities and throwback vibes including going bowling, a sock hop-themed dance party, as well as NASA and retro-inspired art activities.

Week 5: July 15-19 - To Infinity and Beyond
Blast off to outer space during this stellar week! Campers will visit a planetarium to view the night sky, make their own moon rocks, snack through the rings of Saturn, and try to avoid asteroids as they race across a galaxy obstacle course. Keep an eye out for extraterrestrials! We will hunt for aliens around campus, eat alien parfait, and build our own creatures from space. Our trip through space wouldn’t be complete without fun in the sun on beach day, time on the playground and fields, and finishing our week with a super fun water day!
