For each scheduled game, the top team listed will be the visitor and the bottom team will be home. Home and away uniforms shall be worn accordingly. There will be no pregame Infield/Outfield warm up. Batting practice will be conducted in the cages. Please instruct your players that there are NO SPIKES TO BE WORN IN THE CAGES.Games That End in a Tie
If after all regulation innings a game ends in a tie, the “Pittsburgh Tiebreaker” will go into effect
to determine a winner.
- The visiting team will load the bases with their last batted out from the previous inning taking first base. The previous batter in the lineup will take second base, and the batter prior to him will take third base. NO outs will be charged against the batting team.
- The batting (visiting) team will proceed with their lineup in an attempt to score. This half of the inning continues until the third out is made.
- The home team will play their half of the inning in the same manner.
- The game proceeds in this manner until a winner is determined.
- 15 Runs after 3 Innings
- 10 Runs after 4 Innings
- 8 Runs after 5 Innings
Any participant or other person ejected from a game for any reason, must leave the immediate premises as directed by the umpire or Emmons Tournament official. Any person so ejected or removed shall have no further communication with participants or umpires. Any coach or player that is ejected will not be eligible to participate for the remainder of the tournament.
If rain comes into play, we will do everything possible to remain close to the original schedule. If we need to change the schedule because of the inclement weather, we will do our best to try to maintain the original schedule. Please understand that the format may be changed to lesser time limits or fewer innings to complete the tournament. Any changes will be posted at the RBI gate tent.
