Lower School Students Shine and Share at Grandfriends Day

Lower School students welcomed their grandparents and grandfriends to the Siesta Key campus last week for a beautiful morning under the Banyan canopy.
After enjoying refreshments, guests filled the open-air Kozel Family Amphitheater for a festive concert featuring band and chorus performances. An engaging and creative program followed the year's "Sustainability Superheroes" theme with songs about being respectful of the earth and its resources. Students then invited their guests to join them through a series of interactive stations where they learned how to be more environmentally conscious. Activities included creating bird feeders out of recycled materials, decorating re-usable canvas bags for their grandfriends, testing student developed water filters, playing trivia games, and posing for photos as Sustainability Superheroes. We hope all of our grandfriends enjoyed their visit to ODA! Click here to view photos from the event.
