Third and Fourth Grade Artists Shine Under the Banyan
During their annual Art Under the Banyan exhibition this morning, third and fourth graders presented the beautiful artwork they have created in Ms. Gabrici’s art classes in the Kozel Amphitheater.
The students’ artwork covered a wide variety of styles, artists, and materials. Third graders showcased delicate Japanese Notan hearts, intricate radial origami, Florida beach landscapes, and amazing ceramic dragons. The fourth grade exhibited their beautiful Native American masks and woven baskets, translucent Chihuly sculptures, color studies of ocean animals, and handbuilt ceramic flowers. During the exhibition, Dr. Vasilaki and her talented students played lovely music on their string instruments from the steps of the Dining Hall while parents admired the impressive masterpieces.
