Gratitude, Thankfulness, and Community Outreach

With the Thanksgiving holiday approaching, The Out-of-Door Academy focused on looking outward and helping others in our community.
For more than 10 years, Out-of-Door has partnered with Gocio Elementary School on a large variety of service projects. Of all of the initiatives, the Thanksgiving food collection is one of the most meaningful school-wide traditions at ODA. This year, Out-of-Door students, parents, faculty, and staff on both campuses are providing full meals for 75 families at Gocio Elementary who would otherwise be unable to enjoy a holiday dinner. We are grateful for the generosity of our community and thank them for coming together to support these families in need.

Students on both campuses got into the spirit of Thanksgiving with assemblies and activities focused around gratitude, thankfulness, and community.
