End-of-Year Athletics Awards

Congratulations to this year’s outstanding student-athletes! Each sport named a Most Valuable Player, Most Improved Player, and Athletic RISER, which have been posted on our social media channels and can be viewed in their entirety here.
This year’s teams have earned district titles in Boys Tennis, Cross Country, and Girls Lacrosse, as well as District and Regional titles in Boys Swim and Baseball, with many teams finishing as District Runner Up. Several swimmers and runners, along with one golfer, earned bids to state competition, yielding impressive finishes. We recently honored Tristan McWilliam for his State Champion finish in the 1600 for Track & Field and have our Baseball team heading into State Semifinal play next week (see announcements in each division for details).

Thor Awards are given to all student-athletes who participate in three sports seasons throughout the year. ODA’s Middle and Upper School Athletes of the Year and Athletic RISERs of the year will be announced at end-of-year celebrations and posted on our social media channels. Stay tuned!

There is much at ODA to cheer about as we bring in a new Athletic Director next year, poised to lead the Thunder programs to continued victory. Please join us in congratulating ALL student-athletes for their dedication and hard work on the fields and courts, in the pool, and on the track and courses! Go Thunder!
