House Sabal Wins the Inaugural Upper School Harrison Cup
The inaugural year of the ODA House System culminated this week in a spirited Upper School assembly, marking a milestone in our school's history. After a year of friendly competition between House Cypress, Jacaranda, Mangrove, and Sabal, each of which included a mix of freshman through seniors, Team Sabal emerged victorious, claiming the first-ever Harrison Cup for their outstanding performance. House Sabal's triumph was the result of participation and enthusiasm in various events and activities throughout the year, including community service endeavors, decorating competitions, and spirited games like the lip sync battle, pong challenge, pumpkin toss, and Jeep push. In addition to awarding the Harrison Cup, new heads of each house were named for the 2024-25 school year, and our eighth graders got a glimpse into what to expect when they are part of it! The house initiative, aimed at fostering a stronger sense of community and school spirit, proved highly successful, uniting students across grades and igniting a newfound excitement within the Upper School.
