University of East London - Sapna Shah
The University of East London is an extraordinary university in an extraordinary place. Since 1898 we have had a longstanding commitment to our community as an ‘anchor institution’ which truly makes a difference to people’s lives. From our roots at the turn of the twentieth century – to the turn of the twenty-first century, our commitment to serve our communities in east London remains firm. We continue now in partnership with numerous other institutions and communities that constitute the UEL diaspora across the world, with active alumni links in over 100 countries and a student population of more than 19,000 from over 120 different countries.
The extraordinary diversity of our student population itself offers its own opportunity. The networks and connections that are open to our students constitute a ‘passport for life’, once they take hold of the links that are open for them to explore.
