A panel of twelve alumni visited campus this week to share insights about their college experience with seniors. The panelists shared stories about roommates, classes and balancing social life with school work, but they spent most of their time offering advice.
Advanced Composition is an Upper School English course that aims to expose students to many different types of writing, including those they might encounter later in college and a career.
This semester, students in the 8th grade Spanish classes traveled to the Ybor City Museum State Park in Tampa, Florida. This integral part of the curriculum increases the students' awareness of Florida's history and understanding of how the early Spanish settlers helped to create the unique culture of Ybor City.
Major League Baseball Umpire Mr. Chad Fairchild met with ODA's Upper School to share what it's like to officiate in this high-stakes environment.
A fun collaboration in fifth graders' Reading and History classes allows them to explore many facets of colonial life as they learn about the Westward Expansion.
