Middle Schoolers Excel in High School Musical Production

Disney’s High School Musical 1 Act Edition tackles age-appropriate themes that resonate with Middle and High School aged students. It’s about what it means to be part of a team and what it takes to follow your instincts.
Troy Bolton is a “jock” and Gabriella Montez is a “brainiac,” but they want to break the status quo and join the thespians in their school’s musical. A few brave students at East High School help them make that happen, and breakdown the negative stereotypes for the whole Wildcat community. The Out-of-Door Academy’s presentation featured Middle School leads with some Upper School students assisting in the ensemble. With memorable, catchy songs and great choreography, ODA’s cast commanded the stage. The cliques intermingled in songs like “Bop to the Top.” In the end, they learned that “We’re All in this Together.” Congratulations to the Cast & Crew on a great performance!
