Coach Brett Strot spoke during Ovation about what it took for the U.S. Women's Hockey Team to win gold at the 2018 Olympics in PyeongChang, after losing to Canada in overtime in 2014. As the Associate Head Coach of Team USA, Coach Strot used his years of experience as a coach and former player to help his athletes find the right mindset to succeed in reaching their goal. He believes that having the right mindset leads to success in all avenues of life, not only in sports. "Teachers, parents, and coaches can give you the tools, but it is up to you to make things happen. Gain trust by having a strong, positive character. Elevate your character by taking on more responsibility. Develop your mind to be your greatest asset."
