Celebrating the Season in the Black Box

On Thursday evening the Black Box Theater was filled with festive holiday melodies during the Middle and Upper School Winter Orchestra Concert.
The students, directed by Mrs. Nicole Young, played a wide variety of music ranging from classics by Rimsky-Korsakoff and Handel, to contemporary pieces by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra and Thom Sharp. The audience was impressed with the Advanced String Ensemble’s "Lullaby to the Moon" and "Whimsical Dance," and visibly moved during "Hallelujah Chorus" (from Messiah) performed by the combined orchestra and featuring the Middle and Upper School Chorus and faculty performers.
