Magical Performances Grace the Stage at Broadway Matinee
Last weekend’s Middle and Upper School Broadway Matinee featured a selection of well-loved songs from the classic Broadway musicals "The Hunchback of Notre Dame," "The Phantom of the Opera," and "Jekyll and Hyde."
Focusing on the theme “What mask do you hide behind?” the singers in grades six through twelve came to the stage with moving performances, including "Someday," "Point of No Return," "Think of Me," and "Once Upon a Dream." Many talented singers stepped forward to have their moment in the spotlight: Senior Nicklaus Auen’s solo performance of “Hellfire” from The Hunchback was powerfully delivered, Sofia Delgado ‘19 gave a soaring rendition of “Angel of Music” from the Phantom Theme, and 8th grade Liam Frangos’ breathtaking introduction to Jekyll & Hyde’s “Lost in the Darkness” left the audience speechless with wonder.
