As the sun set behind ODA’s Uihlein Campus, soothing melodies filled the air for a picturesque Jazz Under the Stars. This annual tradition features a variety of genres performed by our talented musicians in a unique and memorable showcase.
From blues and jazz to rock and acapella, our students covered the musical landscape on a gorgeous night. Several soloists enjoyed a moment in the spotlight, impressing the crowd assembled on lawn chairs and blankets in the quad. Upper and Middle School participants rehearsed for the performance before school to prepare for the concert.
Tri-M and Student Council provided treats and collected donations for Manasota B.U.D.S. Special thanks to the music department for organizing this wonderful spring event. Check out photos from the event on Facebook, as well as this video of Advanced Chamber Ensemble performing “Moondance” and Jazz Band performing “La Negra Tiene Tumbao.”
