Fourth Grade Travel Agents

Mrs. Bryan’s fourth grade history students concluded their study of modern Florida by presenting their Florida Travel Agency projects this week.
Prior to starting their project, Mr. Neal Alfano, Creative Director from Miles Partnership, visited the entire fourth grade class class to talk about his career in travel and tourism marketing. Mr. Alfano, a Ringling College of Art and Design graduate, gave the students advice for their upcoming projects and showed the fourth graders examples of work he and his team created for several travel oriented marketing campaigns.

To begin their project, each group researched a Florida city, learning about the history, landmarks, things to do, places of interest, and more. The students then designed a poster in Ms. Gabrici’s art class using 2- and 3-dimensional elements to visually present the information they learned from their research. On Monday afternoon, booths for each project were set up around the Kozel Family Amphitheater to exhibit each project. Parents and Lower School classes were invited to visit each station to learn more about the exciting destinations that the fourth graders chose to showcase.
