Bailey Ekes, 2014-15 Taylor Emmons Scholarship Recipient

Bailey Ekes was selected as the fourth recipient of the Taylor Emmons Scholarship. Her selection completes the Emmons family’s vision to provide an Out-of-Door education for a student in all four grades of our Upper School. Bailey outlasted a deep and highly competitive field of applicants from both Sarasota and Manatee Counties to earn this prestigious honor.  She is a straight “A” student, a member of the National Junior Honor Society, a musician, a dancer, and a passionate volunteer with both local and international service organizations.  She is described by others as selfless and dedicated to making a difference in the lives of others.   As one of her teachers wrote in support of her application, “This is one of the best students, and human beings, I have encountered – ever!”  Congratulations Bailey and welcome to The Out-of-Door family!
