Cameron “Cam” Smalley, 2013-14 Taylor Emmons Scholarship Recipient
Cam Smalley is the third recipient of the Taylor Emmons Scholarship. Cam has made an immediate impact on the Out-of-Door Academy community. Whether he is studying in the library, contributing to class discussion, or participating on a sports team, Cam goes above and beyond to make sure everything is done with 100% effort.
Like the namesake of the scholarship program, Taylor Emmons, Cam lives for baseball. It was only fitting that he learned about his selection for the scholarship after a baseball game. The Taylor Emmons Web site captures the moment beautifully, indicating an elated Cam proclaimed, “I wanted to go to ODA because of how many kids get good scholarships to colleges; and the baseball program is developing and starting to get really good.”
