Amaya Cadena, 2023-24 Taylor Emmons Scholarship Recipient
The Emmons family and The Out-of-Door Academy are proud to announce Amaya Cadena as the thirteenth recipient of the prestigious Taylor Emmons Scholarship. An extraordinary young woman, Amaya demonstrates incredible character in all areas of her life and truly embodies Out-of-Door’s core values: Respect, Integrity, Service, Excellence, and Responsibility. In the classroom, Amaya is known for her strong work ethic and dedication to her studies. Her teachers identify Amaya as a “high achieving, intellectually curious, and emotionally mature individual” whose kindness shines through in “her sensitivity and empathy towards others.” Amaya has big dreams and goals for herself and the Emmons family is pleased to be able to help her on her path. Both the Emmons family and The Out-of-Door Academy are confident that Amaya will represent and honor Taylor’s legacy for years to come.
