This week, 11 members of the Class of 2021 were recognized for their dedication to their sports and their commitment to continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level including three seniors that will compete at the Division One level at Eastern Michigan University, Princeton University, and Temple University. These outstanding student-athletes were surrounded by proud parents, siblings, coaches, faculty, and staff as they took the next step toward furthering their education.
“At the Out-of-Door Academy we believe strongly in the 3 A’s - academics, arts, and athletics, and encourage all of our students to engage in all three,” said Athletic Director Kippie Crouch. “The eleven seniors we honor this morning have not only excelled in the area of athletics, but have chosen to continue their craft at the collegiate level. They say it takes 10,000 hours of practice to be considered an expert in a particular field. Be it the practice field, the gym, or the pool, all the way through to the stadium, these students have dedicated endless hours in the pursuit of excellence, and it is only right that we recognize their achievements.”
Out-of-Door commends these 11 standout student-athletes who have been positive representatives of our school community as they take their game to the next level at institutions across the U.S.
