Sponsors and golfers were eager to participate in the 2021 Out-of-Door Academy Golf Tournament.
Early Monday morning, 104 players arrived at the beautiful Ritz-Carlton Members Club in Bradenton ready for a day of friendly competition–as well as good natured ribbing–in support of ODA. Following check in, players warmed up on the driving range and putting greens, enjoyed a light breakfast and complimentary Bloody Mary bar, and were outfitted with a new pair of Biion Footwear golf shoes.
With a cloudless blue sky and light south westerly breeze, golfers had a great time battling for the Petrik Cup during the scramble-style competition. Interspersed throughout the course, players participated in several contests, including longest drive, putting, and closest to the pin.
Once they completed their round, players headed back to the clubhouse for a delicious luncheon. After the last scorecard was recorded on the leaderboard, prizes were handed out to the top team and contest winners at the award ceremony.
“A day of golf at The Ritz-Carlton Members Club was a fantastic way to show our support of Out-of-Door,” said Kevin Micale, father of Carter ’34. “As a new family at ODA, it was a great opportunity to meet some of the other parents in a relaxed setting. I’m glad I was able to be part of an event that supports our school’s mission of continuing to deliver an unparalleled educational experience to our children.”
Congratulations to the following tournament winners:
Petrik Cup Winner (Team) - Brian Dreschler, Jon Haskins, Mike Polivchak, Andy Tack
