With gentle breezes and cooler temperatures, Mother Nature lent a hand to set the stage for this year's Winter Wonderland-themed Thunder Fun Day! Click for photos.
The Siesta Key Campus was transformed for the family carnival, with exciting games, tasty food, and upbeat music. Happy families, including many alumni, came for a day filled with fun for children of all ages!
Kids had a great time being creative at the arts and crafts tables and winners of the cake walk in the Kozel Family Amphitheater had an amazing assortment of delicious prizes from which to choose. Everyone, young and old, loved donning props and snapping pics in the photo booth, and the face painters brought wondrous fantasies to life on their living canvases. There were games for all ages, including Frog Flinger, Ring Toss, scooters, and tug o’ war. The highlight of the event, the highly anticipated Snow Slide, had children screeching with laughter as they slid down the icy chute!
Our three esteemed judges had their work cut out for them with more than a dozen entries in the annual Chili Cook-Off Competition. Congratulations to our winners:

The Parent Association would like to extend a special thank you to all of our sponsors, volunteers, and attendees for participating in Thunder Fun Day. It was truly an ODA community event, with Upper School students manning booths highlighting their extracurricular clubs and Upper Schoolers helping run games and food tents, in addition to all of our generous parents, faculty, and staff who volunteered alongside our dedicated Parent Association members.
