Out-of-Door students create unique artwork to show thanks.
Mr. Christopher Chesley, Head of Upper School, delivered more than 300 handmade drawings, paintings, notecards, and letters to Doctors Hospital, Lakewood Ranch Medical Center, and Sarasota Medical Center from Out-of-Door students this week. Thoughtful Lower, Middle, and Upper Schoolers showed their support of our local medical professionals working on the front lines at these area hospitals, creating colorful artwork, heartfelt cards, and writing meaningful notes of thanks. Our students used their gifts to show their gratitude to these healthcare workers who selflessly make the care of their patients a priority.
Ms. Monica Yadav of Doctors Hospital said that staff were uplifted by the gifts. “Thank you for delivering the notes of appreciation for the team at Doctors Hospital of Sarasota,” she said. “The art work and handwritten notes are very touching for our nurses who have been on the front lines since late February. The student work is brightening our days!”
