Three Campuses, One Vision
Feel the magic of the...
Historic Siesta Key Campus
Pre-Kindergarten - Grade 5
This is where it all began. In 1924, the vision of our founders came to life on the small, barrier island of Siesta Key where sand, sunshine and a love of the outdoors fueled an innovative educational experience.
A century later, you can still feel this energy when you step on our Historic Siesta Key campus. Beyond our idyllic setting and historic buildings, an unwavering focus on shaping our youngest learners through meaningful curriculum and cognitive exploration leads our approach.
Current families and visitors alike admire the unique features of our campus including innovative instructional spaces, the marine science lab, broadcasting facilities, family-focused performance venues, and our beloved Thunder Hut – an outdoor tiki-style multipurpose and dining space.
Our students love supporting their classroom learning with meaningful field trips and celebrating signature academic milestones. As they mature, older students enjoy different leadership opportunities and “choosing their own adventure” with respect to visual and performing arts, as orchestra, band, choral and broadcasting opportunities are available. Most of all, students love our educators. Our outstanding team nurtures our youngest students to unlock their learning potential, find their voice, and approach challenges with resilience and respect.
Located at the intersection of education and magic, our Historic Siesta Key Campus awaits!

Lower School on Clark Road
Pre-Kindergarten - Grade 2
At the Lower School Campus on Clark Road, we are trailblazers and explorers.
Piggybacking on over a century of early childhood educational success, the Clark Road Campus launches a new chapter in Out-of-Door’s hallmark approach to developing our youngest learners. Traditions old and new will guide our vision, and a partnership with our families and the community will shape the next century of transformational educational experiences for our students.
In response to the ever-evolving vision for our school and the growth of Sarasota and Manatee counties, our Clark Road Campus offers families a new way to “get in on the ground floor” of an Out-of-Door educational experience. Opening in 2024, the Clark Road Campus is situated on 100 acres of open space primed for learning and exploration. Adjacent to Myakka State Park, immersion in nature underpins our approach to learning, play and community – this principle will shape the “Clark Road way” and permeate the Out-of-Door culture across all of our locations.
Each classroom has its own multipurpose outdoor classroom space accompanied by versatile technology enabling our learners to excel wherever they find their optimal learning environment. A quarter mile nature trail certified by the National Wildlife Federation offers unique opportunities for outdoor exploration and interdisciplinary learning. Signature learning programs, field trips, and celebrations will become a part of the Clark Road fabric, while a partnership with our Historic Siesta Key Campus will provide students with “a home away from home” and endless opportunities for collaboration.
