Application Guidelines
The Out-of-Door Academy seeks students with curiosity, passion, integrity, and a commitment to academic, athletic, artistic, and personal growth. Admission decisions are determined by the strength of the candidate's application, academic performance, recommendations, and test scores. We admit students who can succeed academically and who will contribute to our school community.
To assess a prospective student's candidacy for The Out-of-Door Academy, we kindly request the following application materials:
Step 1
Complete your Online Application
*Please note: In order to proceed to the following steps, you must submit your online application and non-refundable $150 fee. At that time, you will be issued a login to an online Admissions progress page via the myODA portal. Details regarding each item below will be found within that portal.
Step 2
Schedule Admissions Testing with The Out-of-Door Admissions Office.
Step 3
Submit additional application materials to the Admissions Office. Information regarding the items below will be posted on your myODA Admissions Progress Page:
- Transcript of Grades (Grades 1- 5)
- Teacher Assessment Form (Pre-K - Grade 5)
- Admissions Testing (Pre-K - Grade 5)
- Family Questionnaire (Pre-K - Grade 5)
- Birth Certificate
To evaluate a prospective student’s candidacy for The Out-of-Door Academy, we require the following application items:

- Academic Transcript including grades from the past two years and the current school year to date
- Teacher Assessment Form (Current English and math teachers)
- SSAT Test
- Character Skills Snapshot
- Graded Writing Sample
- Birth Certificate
