Physical Education Philosophy

The Role of Athletics in Whole-Child Development

The ODA approach is rooted in the belief that physical activity is essential for a balanced, healthy life. From Lower School through Upper School, students are encouraged to engage in physical pursuits that promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and lifelong wellness. As students progress through the divisions, they are gradually introduced to more competitive and strategic elements of sport, while still fostering enjoyment, collaboration, and leadership.
