Thunder Girls Golf: State Champions!

The ODA Girls Golf team has claimed the 2025 Sunshine State Athletic Association Championship, finishing with a season-best team score of 330 at Cleveland Heights Golf Course in Lakeland.

 

Sophomore Brooklyn Cullen ’27 led the way with medalist honors (71), followed by juniors Daisy Quintal ’26 (84), Jules Whittemore ’26 (86), and Isabella Rizzo ’26 (89). Cullen’s victory adds to an already impressive résumé, including a national title at the 2025 Under Armour Summer Nationals.

 

Coach Mike McClellan praised Cullen’s competitive edge: “She just plays with this grit. It’s fun to watch her compete and hit shots. She drives the ball really well… and her short game is fantastic.”

 

With talent, chemistry, and teamwork built over years of playing together, the Thunder have proven they’re a force on the course.
