After School Enrichment
Lower School Programs
The Out-of-Door Academy's after school programs provide Lower School students with meaningful ways to spend time once the school day ends—whether exploring new interests, completing homework, or socializing with friends.
These programs—including Prime Time, After Care, and Intramural Sports—are thoughtfully designed to enrich each child’s experience beyond the classroom. These offerings are led by ODA educators and trusted outside vendors, all of whom have undergone thorough background checks.
All quarterly programs run on their scheduled school days from 3:30-4:30 pm, with the exception of school closures, early release, conference days, or closures due to inclement weather.
Prime Time
The Out-of-Door Academy’s Prime Time programs offer students a welcoming, supportive environment to explore new interests, discover passions, and connect with friends across grade levels. Designed to spark creativity and inspire self-discovery, the program encourages learning through play, curiosity, and fun.
After Care
After Care at The Out-of-Door Academy offers students a relaxed, supervised space to wind down after the school day. Run by trusted ODA educators, the program gives students time to complete homework, play with friends, and take part in a variety of indoor and outdoor activities. After Care is available Monday through Friday, excluding school closures, early dismissals, conferences, and weather-related closings.
For more details regarding After Care, currently enrolled families should access the MyODA Resource Board for the Siesta Key or Clark Road campuses.
Intramural Sports
ODA offers an Intramural Sports program designed to introduce students to competitive sports, and serve as a pre-cursor to our Middle and Upper School athletic programs. Participants engage in games through safe, fun, physical activity where they learn new skills while focusing on sportsmanship. The program, which runs on Tuesdays and Thursdays, is exclusive to our 4th and 5th graders at our Historic Siesta Key Campus and highlights a minimum of two different sports per academic quarter. No special equipment is required.
