ODA girls in grades K–5 recently participated in an exciting and energetic basketball clinic hosted by Coach Lala and members of the ODA Girls Basketball Team. Designed as a fun and inclusive introduction to the sport, the free clinic gave young athletes the opportunity to learn and grow in a supportive environment. Throughout the session, participants rotated through a variety of skill-building stations focused on dribbling, passing, shooting, and defensive techniques. Girls varsity players served as positive role models, helping guide and encourage the younger players while demonstrating techniques and sharing their love of the game.

In addition to practicing fundamental basketball skills, the clinic emphasized teamwork, sportsmanship, and the joy of physical activity. Coach Lala and her team created a welcoming space where girls of all experience levels could challenge themselves, make new friends, and gain confidence on the court. Whether they were picking up a basketball for the first time or looking to sharpen existing skills, every participant left the gym with a smile and a sense of accomplishment. The event not only strengthened foundational skills but also helped spark a passion for the sport that many of these young Thunder athletes will carry forward.
