Upper School engineering students recently presented their year-end portfolios, offering a comprehensive look at how they applied the 10 Principles of Engineering across a variety of hands-on projects throughout the school year. Each portfolio highlighted not only the technical skills gained but also the creative problem-solving and collaborative thinking that are foundational to the course.

One notable focus of this year’s curriculum was sustainability. As part of their presentation, students were challenged to reuse or repurpose materials—specifically, poster boards previously used by students during Capstone presentations. This exercise encouraged responsible use of resources and reinforced the importance of environmental stewardship in the field of engineering. Through this experience, students demonstrated a thoughtful integration of engineering principles with real-world awareness and ethical responsibility.
